Nevertheless, a sense of quiet contentment and relaxed atmosphere permeated the office so much so that work seemed fun, a real concerted effort and my brief steal away from it at lunch was incredibly satisfying!
I LOVE having lunch out of the office.
ok this may sound really sad to you but truth is, we have take away altogether too often that lunch out seems a real priviledge! How sad you must be thinking :( i can't help but agree. Some days are just so busy that sneaking out for a mere walk to get a packed lunch is bliss in itself!
Anyways, thanks Iain! Really really happy to have found a fellow cafe-lover @ work! Can't believe we tried 3 cafes and they were all closed for Labour Day hols!

Sometimes all we really wanna do is get through a rough day at work. Certain days are just harder. You don't quite have the answer why but at the end of the day, reflecting how you survived... that's when it's time to be proud and say, hey, i managed that!*Proud Accomplishment: finally got myself to run 3.2k... measly really but in the sweltering afternoon heat? a MAJOR accomplishment.
Take-home-tip: Run if you just feel like it! Who cares if it's midday and everyone thinks you're crazy?
*Proud Accomplishment 2: managing to give client the stuff she needed w/o even having e right designer on the job.
Take-home-tip: People are naturally nice, they aren't trying to trip you over and will willingly help out if they can. Ask nicely and you just might get someone to help you out! Nice colleagues are a REAL bonus and i truly appreciate them! A good co-worker is a real treasure.
