"you never know the biggest day of your life is going to be your biggest.
the days you think are gonna be the big ones,
they're never as big as you make them out to be in your head.
it's the regular days
the ones that start out normal
those are the days that end up being the biggest..."
The Valedictorian's speech, unfortunately at the hospital bed, they met with an accident and she was the only survivor. It was supposed to be their big day. Immense and yet only she survived.
Carev made her recite her speech since she'd prepared so hard for it and wasn't able to give it.
Idealistic, sure but it's allowing yourself to dream isn't it?
"Today's the day my life begins.
Today, I become a citizen of the world.
Today, I become a grown up
Today, I become accountable to someone other than myself and my parents
Accountable for more than my grades
Today I become accountable to the world
to the future
to all the possibilities that life has to offer
Starting Today.
My job is to show up
Wide eyed and willing and ready..
For what?
I don't know
For anything
For everything.
To take on Life.
To take on Love
To take on the responsibility and possibility
Today my friends, our lives begin
And i for one, can't wait."
And again, at the wedding... as they collaborated to see Alex and Izzie through on their wedding day...
Carev's vows:
"Today's the day my life begins.
All my life i've been just me
Just a smart-mouthed kid
Today I become a man
Today I become a husband
Today i become accountable to someone other than myself
Today I become acountable to you
To our future
To all the possibilities our marriage has to offer
Together no matter what happens
I'll be ready
for anything for everytihng
To take on life, to take on love
To take on possibility and responsibility
Today, Izzie Stevens our life together begins
And I for one can't wait."

There will always be the girls who dramatise things.
Their emotional.
A heck of a lot to handle.
They cause trouble simply because they care too much and they don't know any better.
They don't know how not to care.
You'd say they lack focus but hey, at least they cared enough to ask how your day was going or you really feel they want to know how they can lend a hand to help.
That's Izzie.
She cares and she gives and that's the only way she knows how to help.
Just to be there when the attention seems to be on the rest.
When she sees herself as just one of the ones out of the action, helpless, well no.
Because in each group of us, Izzie Stevens exists and we just got to recognise it and show her we appreciate and love her for who she is.
She's not asking for much, just to live her dream and to make others happy.
