colleagues greet you with surprise and a slow but certain smile playing across their face as if to say "it's great to have you back, we were beginning to miss ya back there.." it's sweet, heartwarming and you know, really just makes me happy.
Simple as that.
To be truthful, i've missed them heaps too.
Would be so tough to even contemplate ever leaving this place.
It's been such a short while about 7-8 months? but i like them all for their simplicity, for the joys they take in the little things, for the silliest things they laugh at and even the crappiest jokes!
Just like how today my colleague walked in the office with me and someone commented "hey, don't usually see ya here! Just come in when Mich is here right?" haha! So cheeky but damn funny and there glancing up at their faces, it was just pure cheekiness and mirth written right over all their faces! You should have been there to see 'em.
Well, as one has rightly put, a little lass in a lion's den, what to do?
NOnetheless, really hope to help out those in distress, must say some do look quite stressed! I do think sometimes that i can help simply by elevating the mood and making these ppl see things more clearly, and in a more light-hearted manner. So ironic, coming from me, queen of perfectionism and control freak. Nonetheless, if it's a matter that i'm removed from and a mere observer, i sometimes surprise myself with how easily i can help solve a critical issue. REally think it boils down to removing the emotion, frustration and just getting right on task and figuring out how best to move on from there. We all need a little Big Picture thinking from time to time!
